POSITION SUMMARY
The Membership and Monitoring Lead plays a pivotal role in advancing the organization’s global membership network. This role is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive membership strategies that strengthen relationships, expand member value, and enhance IFAC’s influence and impact worldwide. A key component of this role includes managing the Compliance Program, which requires IFAC members and associates to demonstrate fulfillment of their membership obligations, including adherence to the IFAC Statements of Membership Obligations (SMOs). The role is crucial for driving membership retention, recruitment, and stakeholder development, while fostering strong partnerships and delivering high quality member experiences.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRED SKILLS
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Additionally, if an applicant is US-based, provided they meet all eligibility requirements under the applicable plan documents, employees (and their eligible dependents) will be eligible to enroll in group healthcare plans that offer medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees will also be able to enroll in our company’s 401 (k) plan, as well as a deferred compensation plan, provided they meet plan requirements.
IFAC welcomes applicants from all geographical locations, and this role can be remote. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At IFAC, compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for candidates in the NY-Metropolitan region is $120,000 to $150,000.

- Manage and maintain contact information and website listing for IFAC Members, Associates, Affiliates, Regional Organizations and Accountancy Groupings (Member Bodies) in IFAC’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
- Lead IFAC’s annual membership statistics collection process for Members and Associates, analyzing submitted data for accuracy and completeness, and proactively engaging with respondents to resolve discrepancies and ensure high-quality reporting.
- Support the Head of Education, Member Monitoring, and Development in executing the membership strategy, focusing on member retention, engagement, and value delivery.
- Provide support to IFAC member bodies in order to help meet their IFAC membership obligations as outlined in SMOs.
- Oversee the review and publication of member body SMO Action Plans, including tracking their update status and maintaining ongoing communication with member organizations.
- Evaluate SMO Action Plans and prepare reports on legal and regulatory frameworks, status of adoption of international standards, and IFAC members' fulfilment of SMOs.
- Act as a primary contact for member organizations, responding to inquiries, facilitating communication, and maintaining strong relationships.
- Provide oversight and partnership support to the IFAC Board’s Membership Committee, ensuring alignment between committee activities, membership policies, and organizational priorities.
- Coordinate outreach initiatives to enhance member engagement.
- In conjunction with the Communications team, draft high-quality communications, reports, and presentations related to membership activities and development efforts.
- Analyze membership data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement, and prepare summaries for senior leadership.
- Assist in developing and implementing new member services, benefits, or engagement tools.
- Manage timelines and deliverables for membership projects, ensuring alignment with established goals.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, recommending process enhancements and new ideas for member engagement.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRED SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Public Administration, or a related field required.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in membership development, or related fields, preferably within a nonprofit or global professional membership organization.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Experience working with membership databases or CRM systems.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively across teams, stakeholders, and senior leaders, including officials from external organizations and governments.
- Ability to work effectively across diverse cultures.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, including those imposed externally.
- Commitment to quality processes and high-quality deliverables.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with flexibility especially important.
